Cintas Teams up with Navy Federal Credit Union to Host Nationwide October “Shrederal” Events

Free shredding events allow communities to dispose of confidential documents safely and securely

MERRIFIELD, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cintas Corporation, a leader in secure document management services, and Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) will host nationwide “Navy Shrederal Day” document destruction events on Oct. 13 at 52 NFCU locations. The events will take place from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. These free events will provide community members with a safe and secure resource to shred their confidential, personal and business documents.

“Identity theft is a growing threat for individuals and businesses across the nation,” explained Karen Carnahan, President and COO of Cintas Document Management Division. “These events will bring awareness of proper document management to the community and provide people with a secure method to safely dispose information. More importantly, the events will provide individuals with the peace of mind that their sensitive information will not end up in the wrong hands.”

During the events, anyone can bring up to four boxes (12” x 24” in diameter) of documents and have them shredded on-site by a certified Cintas employee. From drop-off to destruction, all documents will be constantly monitored and protected.
