India's Bharti Airtel tower unit could launch IPO this year, exec


NEW DELHI, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Top Indian telecoms carrierBharti Airtel's tower unit could launch its plannedinitial public offering in 2012, subject to clearance frommarket regulators, a senior group executive said.

"We are ready to go...," said Akhil Gupta, deputy groupchief executive of Bharti Enterprises, the telecom carrier'sparent company.

According to sources, Bharti Airtel's mobile phone towerunit has filed for an IPO in September which could raise nearly$1 billion in the country's biggest IPO in more than two years.
