“According to the National Endowment for the Arts, one in six people consider themselves artists, but getting one’s work published, viewed, and sold can be insurmountable for even the persistent and ultra-talented,” said Peter Tomassi, Redbubble chief community officer and evangelist. “As an artist-empowerment platform, Redbubble is helping to shift the power dynamic between independent artists and traditional publishers and retailers. This platform provides a realistic way for them to share their amazing work with comic fanatics and art lovers around the world.”

New Redbubble Products

In Redbubble’s booth, #849, a vast selection of art products from independent artists and designers around the world will be displayed and sold. Redbubble approached 65 popular designers, choosing their most innovative art to feature at the event. In addition, there will be Redbubble artists onsite to talk about the most popular designs and debut fresh, new products:

  • iPad cases. Redbubble has expanded its technology case line to include tablet computers. These start at $59.
  • Wall decals. Artful wall decals will be pre-released at Comic Con and available for purchase for $10.
  • Limited edition Redbubble New York Comic Con T-Shirts. Fans of Redbubble know that sometimes the best products sell out. Redbubble will give away for free a secret line of limited edition NYCC t-shirts so fans will need to come quick or these may be gone.
  • Limited edition Redbubble New York Comic Con Posters. The product of a community-wide Redbubble poster contest, 200 of this original design will be given away at NYCC.

In addition to all the new products, Redbubble will also sell its most popular items including t-shirts and hoodies for men, woman and children, iPhone cases, and posters.

“In a world where consumer purchasing options are often stifled by the decisions big brand marketing departments make each season, we’re confident the Comic Con audience will appreciate Redbubble’s ability to disrupt the monotony of today’s shopping experience,” said Tomassi. “Put simply, we’re aiming to empower people to represent themselves through accessible and unique art.”
