New Samsung Galaxy S4 Will Track Your Eye Movement: Report

Samsung's next smartphone may have some eye-catching new software.

The Korean company is unveiling its the Galaxy S4 next Thursday in New York City and the new smartphone reportedly features eye scrolling technology,which is exactly what it sounds like, software that allows users to scroll with the movement of their eyes, according to a report from the New York Times.

Samsung did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether the new device will feature eye-scrolling, but given the company's track record of implementing similar functions in its phones.

The Galaxy S3 has a similar embedded technology, called Smart Stay, which watches the user to determine when they are looking at the screen so that the screen won't dim as long as it is being viewed.

The company also filed for a trademark in Europe for the name "Eye Scroll" in January and "Samsung Eye Scroll" in the U.S. last month, according to the Times report.
