Amazon.com said Sunday it doesn't plan to enter the cell-phone market this year, and if it does eventually, don't expect it the device to be free, Allthingsd.com reported.
"We have no plans to offer a phone this year, and if we were to launch a phone in the future, it would not be free," Amazon said in a statement to AllThingsD.

The comment follows a report from Jessicalessin.com that said the company was planning to enter into the phone market by offering a free device.
