MAHWAH, N.J., Sept. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radware® (Nasdaq:RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, today announced it was presented with a Silver Stevie Award in the "Best New Product or Service of the Year" Category for Security Solutions.
Radware received this award for its cloud based service, DefensePipe™, during the 11th Annual American Business Awards, held in San Francisco, California on Monday, September 16th.
DefensePipe is a cloud based service that is activated only when the attack threatens to saturate the organization's Internet pipe. Based on the built-in synchronization between DefensePipe and DefensePro®, Radware's on-premise attack mitigation system, "in the cloud" mitigation can start immediately.
The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the trophies were presented to winners during a gala banquet on Monday, September 16 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. More than 250 nominees and their guests attended.
This year's American Business Awards were presented at two awards events. Awards for marketing, customer service, human resources, and other disciplines were announced in Chicago in June. Monday evening's event focused on the technology and new product awards categories.
More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others.
Radware was nominated for Best New Product or Service of the Year, and were among other category winners that were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.
"So many remarkable stories of success and innovation were told in the nominations submitted to this year's American Business Awards," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. "We congratulate all of this year's Stevie Award winners, and thank them for the inspiration provided by their achievements."
"Receiving this Silver Stevie Award is a testament to the hard work our team has made to develop hybrid attack mitigation technologies," says Avi Chesla, chief technology officer, Radware. "Technology that is required to protect business-critical networks against today's availability based threats. We're honored to receive this award and to be recognized for our efforts."
