Memorandum of Friendship and Trade Cooperation Signing
HOUSTON, Sept. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority will meet in regular session on Tuesday, September 24, at 9:30 a.m., or immediately following the double swearing in ceremony of new Port Commissioners Theldon R. Branch III and Stephen H. DonCarlos. Houston Mayor Annise Parker is scheduled to swear in city of Houston appointee Branch. State Rep. Wayne Smith will swear in the Harris County Mayors and Councils Association appointee DonCarlos.
At the conclusion of the regular Port Commission meeting, the signing of a Memorandum of Friendship and Trade Cooperation with the Port of Marseille-Fos Authority (a.k.a. Grand Port Maritime de Marseille) and with Provence Promotion Economic Development Agency will be conducted.
Following the signing ceremony, the Port Commission will resume in its Executive Session and upon its conclusion, the Board of Pilots Commissioners will meet.
The Port Commission Community Relations Committee will meet at 11 a.m. or immediately following the Board of Pilot Commissioners meeting.
All meetings will take place in the fourth floor boardroom of the Port Authority Executive Building, 111 East Loop North (Exit 29 off Loop 610) in Houston.
The Swearing in Ceremony and Memorandum of Friendship and Trade Cooperation Signing Ceremony will both be conducted in the fourth floor gallery which is immediately adjacent to the boardroom.
