SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 27, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Matrix Medical Network, a national leader in prospective medical assessment services for Medicare Advantage (MA) plan members, has opened a new MA member contact center in Clearwater, Fla., to meet the needs of new clients and expanding opportunities to schedule home assessments with existing clients. Matrix will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of its second contact center on Monday, Sept. 30.
The new location, which is adjacent to the existing contact center, began operations on June 24. Matrix has continued to increase its rate of member contacts since opening its original contact center in April 2012. This growth in the business drove the need to have another location since the original contact center is now filled to capacity.
In early July of this year, the company achieved a new record high when 2,106 members were scheduled for an assessment. In comparison, around the same time in 2012, the company's daily average was 881 members scheduled for assessments with a one-day high of 1,236 members scheduled.
Steve Tatarian, Matrix Senior Vice President of Member & Provider Relations, noted that the contact center expansion allows Matrix to hire additional Member Relationship Coordinator and Provider Scheduling Coordinator team members to meet the growing needs.
"We want to stay ahead of the growth in member assessments requested by our clients and this expansion will help us do that," said Mr. Tatarian. "Fifty-two current employees made the move to the new facility along with five new hires, four supervisors, and a manager."
Matrix has completed more than 225,000 health assessments to-date this year, exceeding the company's record number of assessments completed in 2012 and nearly doubling the number of assessments completed in 2011. By the end of 2013, the company is on track to complete more than 335,000 assessments, making it another record-breaking year for Matrix.
