NORCROSS, Ga., Oct. 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Atlantix Global Systems announced today that the company has achieved Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR) status, eligible to receive Windows licenses at a fraction of retail cost. This status enables Atlantix to provide fully refurbished PCs to schools, non-profit organizations and government agencies pre-installed with licenses for Windows 7 Professional and Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010.

"An important part of our business is providing refurbished equipment to be used in both education and by charitable associations," said Brian Glahn, president and chief executive officer, Atlantix Global Systems. "The Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher status enables us to provide these organizations with quality PC software already installed in their equipment."

Atlantix will provide these licenses to organizations like the Golden Door Scholars, a non-profit organization that provides students with college scholarships and internship/career opportunities. Based in North Carolina, Golden Door Scholars is focused on granting four-year scholarships to high-performing students who recently graduated from high school, as well as working with businesses to place students in internships.

Atlantix Global joins more than 1,500 Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher in over 60 countries.
