PETALUMA, Calif., Oct. 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., the proven leader in Smart Water Management will debut an advanced sensor technology system for homes and buildings during the WaterSmart Innovations conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 2-4, 2013. The HydroPoint 360° Smart Water Management™ solution analyzes the use of water on a device-by-device basis, empowering individuals to measure, monitor and manage water use with a remote, mobile and web-based interface.

Delivering reliable water savings and technologies to residential and commercial markets since 2002, HydroPoint solutions expand from outdoor landscape irrigation to indoor water use monitoring. The new device level decoding technology joins the company's industry-leading WeatherTRAK smart irrigation controllers and Hydro Analytics measurement and verification services to significantly reduce water waste and costs.

"Our 360°Smart Water Management Solutions quickly identify leaks and usage trends so consumers and businesses can reduce consumption, prevent water loss, and save money," said Chris Spain, president and CEO, HydroPoint. "This opportunity expands HydroPoint's commitment to deliver real-time visibility and validated water use metrics direct to enterprise customers, residential communities and water agencies."

The new 360° Smart Water Management system assesses how resources - from shower to toilet to irrigation - are used, recommends savings options and assists homeowners and property managers in using water more efficiently.

Built on a wireless platform, the solution is easy to install and uses advanced signal processing algorithms to enable automated, real-time device-by-device resources management. Identifying every fixture in a home or building, it logs when each appliance or fixture is used, for how long and accurately calculates how much water each consumes.

HydroPoint is currently pursuing 360° Smart Water Management pilot opportunities for utility companies, multifamily property owners and smart home developers with general availability to follow in 2014.
