It's official, Apple event set for Oct. 22

Apple's newest, biggest event

Apple is hosting a media event next Tuesday, where it will likely unveil its latest line of iPads.

The Cupertino company will host the event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco at 10 a.m. PT.

Apple issued media invitations for its October 22 media event where the company is expected to introduce its next-generation iPad and iPad mini models.

"We still have a lot to cover," the invitation reads.

Apple released its iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C last month and is widely expected to show off its updated iPad and iPad mini at the event on Tuesday.

Apple sends invitation for October 22nd event

The full-size iPad is expected to get some major design updates. It will likely be much thinner, with a much thinner casing. The iPad mini is also widely expected to get an updated screen, perhaps a retina display. There will also likely be an update on the company's line of Macs.
