Global, multi-platform campaign launches today on CNBC
LONDON AND SINGAPORE, 21 October 2013 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, has announced that EY, the global professional services organization, has become the exclusive worldwide sponsor of the CNBC Global CFO Council.
EY's sponsorship of the Council starts today across CNBC's global TV and digital platforms. The comprehensive campaign includes sponsored highlights and vignettes featuring EY professionals, spot ads, graphical spots, and interactive ad units on CNBC.com and the network's suite of mobile platforms. Social media will also play a key role in amplifying the content generated by the Council.
EY will also highlight its own studies and reports, the first of which addresses the CFO's role as a business partner to key internal corporate functions.
The year-long campaign will run on CNBC's regional networks in EMEA, the United States and Asia Pacific, as well as on CNBC TV-18 in India.
The campaign focuses on the newly expanded Council which, following its successful launch in Unites States, now includes CFOs from major corporations across Europe and Asia Pacific.
CNBC has assembled top CFOs representing public and private companies from a wide array of different industries. Council members will share their frontline insights and unique views on CNBC's flagship morning programme Squawk Box, which is broadcast on its regional TV networks in EMEA, the United States and Asia-Pacific as well as appearing online at cfocouncil.cnbc.com.
The Council members, who collectively manage more than $2.9 trillion in market capitalisation, are uniquely positioned to provide critical insight into issues ranging from corporate controllership, hedging, multi-regional arbitrage to hiring plans, emerging market opportunities and regulatory requirements.
They will also participate in quarterly sentiment surveys which will provide insight into the health of the global economy. The first survey will be released at the end of October and will offer a critically pragmatic guide to what business needs to know. EY will sponsor graphical snapshots of the poll results.
"We have worked closely with our partners at EY in the US, EMEA and Asia to build a worldwide campaign around the CNBC Global CFO Council that is truly unique and one that maps directly on to EY's strategic priorities," commented Jason Webby, Senior Vice President Sales at CNBC International. "We are tremendously excited to announce this partnership today and look forward to working with EY throughout the campaign to highlight their association with the Council to CNBC's affluent and influential global business audience."
The CNBC Global CFO Council was launched in the United States in February 2013, where Ernst & Young LLP was the exclusive sponsor. A full list of the Council members can be found here.
