SparkPeople.com, one of the largest online diet and healthy living communities, has partnered up with FitLinxx Technology to create a device that allows users to monitor their everyday health and fitness routine.
The Spark Activity Tracker is a tiny device that easily attaches to shoes, belts or undergarments as a source for tracking the user's movements throughout the day, and calories burned, in order to help promote exercise routines and spark healthy choices among its users.

The device is designed to inspire and motivate users to continue their exercise regiments or to develop a routine that will grow into a life-changing habit of staying healthy.
The Spark Activity Tracker uses a rewards system that users create and customize as an inspiration to help them reach their goals. This exercise-tracking device also allows its users to quickly assess their progress toward their day-to-day exercise target. The device uses a system of tiny glowing lights to indicate how close a user is to achieving their daily goals.
To view results, the user syncs the device wirelessly with a computer. It comes with a free online membership that allows users to see their daily progress, and food intake. It even offers a support site that SparkPeople members can visit for inspiration and encouragement.

Priced at $59.99, The Spark Activity Tracker is available on SparkPeople.com and Amazon. In just two weeks since its launch, SparkPeople has already sold more than 1,000 trackers on Amazon.
SparkPeople isn't the only online resource for tracking your diet plan or offering inspiration for those seeking a healthier lifestyle. Among some of its competitors are MyFitnessPal, Nutracheck and Nike.
