NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Crystal & Company, one of the world's leading strategic risk and insurance advisors, has named Charles Williamson as Executive Vice President, Field Operations and Corporate Development. Reporting to James W. Crystal, Chairman & CEO, Mr. Williamson will join the firm's executive committee and lead the growth and development of the firm's national branch operations, executing Crystal & Company's regional expansion strategy. He will have management responsibility for all regional market executives and will work closely with business unit leaders to execute business plans across the U.S.

Mr. Williamson brings to his new role more than 20 years of leadership, sales and operational expertise and deep industry knowledge from his career at AIG. Most recently, he was President, Consumer Insurance Americas for AIG, where he was responsible for the company's personal lines, employee benefits, warranty, and accident & health businesses, comprising nearly $5 billion of annual premium and 1,500 employees.
Previously, during his tenure at AIG's Private Client Group, he tripled revenues to over $1 billion in just four years. Prior to 2007, Charles held an array of senior sales and marketing and management roles in AIG's Property & Casualty business, including an extensive period in AIG Risk Management handling sales, underwriting and service for a group of Fortune 2000 clients.
Mr. Williamson earned his J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law, and a B.B.A. in finance from Marshall University.
