HERNDON, Va., Nov. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Acuity, Inc., a leading federal management and technology consulting firm with a deep history of providing professional and technical consulting services across the federal government, now has another distinguished customer to add to their portfolio. After a three year competitive bidding process, Acuity has landed two slots on the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE II) Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. As an awardee in Functional Category 1, Acuity is now qualified to deliver set-aside services in both the small business and 8(a) set-aside pools. Acuity was one of several vendors who received multiple awards.
DHS EAGLE II is a seven-year, $22 billion contract vehicle designed to help the agency obtain Information Technology (IT) services and solutions across three functional categories. Functional Category 1 provides a full range of component and departmental IT services and solutions in support of developing, implementing and maintaining technology to facilitate the DHS mission and business functions.
"It's clear from all the new names on the EAGLE II award list that DHS is interested in expanding the pool of vendors they call on to support them in the years ahead. As an EAGLE II Functional Category 1 awardee selected to deliver in both the small business and 8(a) set-aside pools, Acuity can help DHS confidently obtain their mission objectives while supporting their commitment to small business partnership – that's a great place to be," Acuity CEO Rui Garcia said.
As federal agencies continue to face increased demand for secure, anytime, anywhere access to critical government data, the Acuity team - consisting of core team partners ASSYST, Occam Solutions and Edgesource - offers a broad range of information management services including mobile government solutions, custom software development, system integration, mobile application development, data center and network operations, cyber security, business continuity planning and help desk support.
"Acuity has a long history of delivering award-winning work to clients across the U.S. federal government and we know that many of the mission-enhancing solutions we've delivered to other agencies will also help DHS efficiently, securely and cost effectively accomplish their critical priorities," Tom Lee, Acuity's DHS EAGLE II Program Manager, said. "We're looking forward to partnering with DHS in the months ahead - sharing the best of our talented staff and our highly relevant past performance."
