WASHINGTON, Nov. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce the appointment of Greg Winegardner, Regional President for Wells Fargo, as the newest member of the USHCC's Board of Directors.
Mr. Winegardner, a financial services veteran with more than 41 years of experience, joined the Wells Fargo team in 1982 and has served the company in numerous leadership positions for nearly 32 years. Since 2009, he has served as Regional President for Wells Fargo in Utah, and before that he was Regional President for New Mexico and Western Colorado. He also has served as Community Banking President for Wells Fargo in Durango, Colo., Flagstaff, Ariz., and Victoria, Texas. Mr. Winegardner married his childhood sweetheart, Jill. They have been married for 42 years and have four children and five grandchildren.

Mr. Winegardner's appointment is a testament to the enduring commitment Wells Fargo has to the Hispanic business community. Wells Fargo is the founding sponsor of the Chamber Training Institute (CTI), a program launched by the USHCC Foundation to help local chambers strengthen businesses in their communities by providing them with technical assistance, resources and know-how.During the 2013 USHCC National Convention in Chicago this September, the bank issued a $700,000 grant to the USHCC Foundation as part of as part of their $1.8 million pledge to help support more than 350 local chambers nationwide.
