CNBC Meets: Lang Lang, part one

CNBC Meets interviews one of the world's most successful classical musicians, Lang Lang, who became the first Chinese pianist to be engaged by the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonics.

Lang was born in 1982 in Shenyang, China, and explains how his parents were both aspiring musicians but were held back by the Cultural Revolution. Lang first became interested in the piano through the cartoon, Tom and Jerry, and at age eight he moved to Beijing to study.

Lang discusses the sacrifices made by his parents to further his dream, as well as the problems and teachers he faced in his meteoric rise to becoming an musical idol for millions of Chinese children.
