ESPOO, Finland, Dec. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs has won the bidding competition of Gasum's Finngulf LNG and Balticconnector project to deliver the Project Management Office (PMO) of the project. The PMO office will in 2014 together with the other Front End Engineering Design (FEED) engineering companies for the individual sub projects prepare the material in order to enable Gasum to make the final investment decision for the combined Finngulf LNG investment including Balticconnector in the end of year 2014. After that Neste Jacobs will be responsible for the project management services of the whole project.

In addition to the large scale Finngulf LNG project serving Finland and the Baltic States Gasum is also clarifying the possibilities to build smaller terminals serving the energy needs of shipping industry and companies. Neste Jacobs currently delivers the feasibility study and FEED for Gasum West Finland LNG terminal. Neste Jacobs carries out the project from its offices in Turku and Porvoo. Gasum chose Neste Jacobs to deliver the project already earlier during autumn 2013.
The value of the assignments above is about 20 million euros. The delivery of the services will take place during several years according to the timetable of each project.
