In the centers, via live video, the most highly trained interpreters in the industry help break language barriers that often hinder quality medical care.

LAN interpreters are employees of the company and must meet very rigorous prerequisite requirements as well as ongoing training. All complete "Bridging the Gap," a 40-hour medical interpretation training. Additionally, LAN was the first in the industry to require interpreters to be either CCHI (Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters) or NBCMI (National Board for the Certification of Medical Interpreters) certified. All American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters require RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf). LAN has served as a proctoring location for CCHI certification for several years and was recently tapped to proctor for RID.
