Banks rethink conditions for summer interns: Report

As recruiting season for summer interns ramps up, Bank of America isn't the only investment bank considering ways to ease the load on junior employees, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Morgan Stanley has created a committee to find ways to improve conditions for its junior workers, people familiar with the matter told the Journal.

JPMorgan Chase is also expanding a program to give junior employees the option of one weekend per month when they're not expected to go to work or be on call, the Journal reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

These moves come after a Bank of America summer intern died in 2013. In a recent internal memo, BofA detailed measures to ensure junior staff take days off.
