Starmount's integration with Manhattan's proven Enterprise Order Management, Omni-Channel Customer Service and Store Inventory & Fulfillment solutions will give store associates access to enterprise-wide inventory and rich customer data from their mobile devices. Store associates can use the information to locate and sell merchandise in the store, make recommendations for additional products based on history and preferences, place an order for products sourced anywhere in the retailer's organization, and arrange delivery to the consumer's home with one single-swipe transaction. Additionally, retail associates in the call center and in the store now have a true omni-channel view of all customer transactions, regardless of where they occurred.
"Integrating mobile selling in the store with enterprise-wide inventory availability and rich customer information is a powerful combination and a way to extend the value of the store," said Brian Kinsella, vice president of order management. "Historically retailers have had to choose between a feature-rich clienteling and selling application or an omni-channel solution for saving sales. Now retailers can have both the feature richness their store associates need in a selling application and the ability to sell against network inventory provided by the omni-channel platform. Additionally, the omni-channel customer service and mobile-based store fulfillment provide end-to-end coverage for today's complex omni-channel fulfillment and settlement requirements."
"Manhattan's open API and web services made the integration easy," said Jerry Rightmer, chief product and strategy officer, Starmount. By combining "save-the-sale" and "endless aisle" transactions seamlessly with the clienteling and store checkout process, retailers are now able to blur the lines between selling products online and in-store. "We are excited to be part of the industry's most comprehensive end-to-end omni-channel solution for retail."
