After-hours buzz: Intel, American Express & More

Check out which companies are making headlines after the bell Thursday:

Intel - The chip manufacturer posted fourth-quarter earnings per share of 51 cents on revenue of $13.83 billion. Analysts had estimated the company would report earnings per share of 52 cents on sales of $13.72 billion. Intel's shares were down 2.7 percent in after-hours trading.

Skyworks Solutions - The maker of analog semiconductors reported fiscal first-quarter earnings per share of 67 cents on revenue of $505 million, topping estimates of earnings per share of 66 cents on $500 million in sales. Its shares rallied 6.9 percent in after-hours trading.

American Express - The credit-card company per share of $1.25, excluding items, on revenue of $8.55 billion. Analysts had expected the company would report earnings per share of $1.26 on sales of $8.54 billion. Its shares were off 0.5 percent in after-hours trading.

Capital One Financial - The credit-card company of $1.45 a share on revenue of $5.54 billion, versus estimates of earnings per share of $1.55 on $5.479 billion in revenue. Its shares declined 1.9 percent in after-hours trading.
