CHICAGO, Jan. 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Phusion Projects, LLC, today announced the debut of its latest Four Loko flavor – Blue Hurricane – which will make its debut early this spring. Blue Hurricane Four Loko, a tasty cyclone of tropical flavors, continues the brand's trend of bringing cocktail flavors to the beer industry. The new flavor will be available in 12 percent ABV in 23.5 oz. cans, and replaces Coco Loko, which will be phased out as Blue Hurricane gains distribution.
Phusion timed the new Four Loko release to coincide with its Spring Escape marketing campaign, which will help promote the new flavor to adult consumers in two destination hot spots - Panama City, Fla., and South Padre Island, Texas. As part of the program, Phusion will be selecting 16 lucky winners (eight per city) to participate in its VIP Spring Escape Experience. This will include dinners, meet and greets with bands/DJ's and a slew of free parties both day and night. In addition to the VIP component, Four Loko will be sponsoring activities throughout the month of March in both cities, with Spinnaker's Beach Club (Panama City) and Clayton's Beach Bar (South Padre) acting as the base of operations in each market. Additionally, the Four Loko social media team will be on hand delivering live tweets, including daily band/DJ spotting and Fashion Shots of the Day.
