As of January 21, 2014, officials report 95% containment of the wildfire that has affected many homes in the San Gabriel Valley.

What this means for property owners in Glendora, Azusa, the San Gabriel Valley, and surrounding areas in Los Angeles is that damages from smoke, ash, soot and fire related toxic-waste pose a significant danger once these materials begin to settle in and around commercial and residential properties. Based on available information, the affected areas include Glendora, Azusa, and East Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

Properties will be affected as often times smoke, ash, soot, and other toxic wastes penetrate the building envelope and settle in and around homes. These materials commonly settle on rooftops, windows, doors, attics, exteriors, and inside ventilation systems and air ducts.
