Port Commission Approves Procurement Policy


HOUSTON, Jan. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- An updated procurement policy was approved January 27 during a special meeting of the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority. The policy addresses a number of key areas, including the authority of the Port Commission; applicable procurement laws; solicitation of formal procurements; contacts with vendors; award of formal procurements; vendor debarment procedures; and staff responsibilities.
