The winter of 2013-2014 was already bad enough before Thursday's storm threatened another foot of snow for much of the East Coast.
And it's not just you and your aching back: The maps prove there's a lot more snow in a lot more places this year than last.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's snow cover map from this time last year shows a healthy coating for much of the country.
But fast forward a year and the same NOAA map leaves no doubt this winter has been much worse.
The 2014 map is as of very early Wednesday, which means it does not take into account the snow that fell later in the day in the South or that fell Thursday further north.
