CLEARWATER, Fla., Feb. 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced that both Chuck Bartlett, the company's senior vice president, Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS), and Marty Bauerlein, the company's vice president, U.S. VAR Sales, have been named by CRN to the 2014 Channel Chief list. Chosen by the CRN editorial staff with input from vendor, distribution, and solution provider executives, the list recognizes those who have demonstrable impact on vendor channel strategies, initiatives and programs. According to CRN, this prestigious list of the most powerful leaders in the IT channel recognizes those executives directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organization, while evangelizing the importance of the channel throughout the entire IT Industry.
Bartlett was recently promoted to senior vice president, AIS and leads the company's value-added solutions categories, including server, storage, networking, unified communications, video, virtualization, and converged infrastructure. He has been with Tech Data since 2006 and has more than 20 years of IT sales, marketing, and distribution experience. Bartlett holds a master's degree in management and organizational development from Webster College and a bachelor's degree in business management from Iowa State University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Command Officers School in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Previously, Marty served as vice president of Central/West Sales from June 2008 to May 2011, leading a team of sales professionals handling direct marketers, corporate resellers and VARs seeking geographic sales expansion. In March 2011, Marty received Tech Data's Vice President of the Year award for his leadership contributions. He holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing from Fredonia State University.
