Verizon is investigating possible security breaches at two unnamed retailers, according to The Wall Street Journal.
"We've been brought into other situations as the investigator," Bryan Sartin, the director of investigations at Verizon's enterprise solutions unit, told the WSJ.
Though the companies involved were not disclosed, the breaches appear similar to those at other merchants late last year, the Journal said.
"The findings already substantiate a very real link between these later situations and something that recently happened," Sartin said.
