Private equity firm Apollo Global Management, which recently acquired Chuck E. Cheese, is reportedly mulling a deal to buy Dave & Buster's, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
According to the report, the food and entertainment company has a price tag of about $1 billion.
Dave & Busters, which operates restaurants with games for grown-ups, scrapped plans to go public in October 2012.
Representatives for both firms declined to comment on the matter.
Apollo absorbed around 600 Chuck E. Cheese restaurants when it acquired its owner, CEC Entertainment, for a reported $1.3 billion.
Dave & Buster's was acquired by Oak Hill Capital for $570 million in cash in June 2010.
