NEW YORK, March 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orchid Island Capital, Inc. (the "Company") (NYSE MKT:ORC) announced today that it has commenced a public offering of 4,000,000 shares of its common stock. The Company also plans to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 600,000 shares of common stock on the same terms and conditions to cover over-allotments, if any. All of the shares in the public offering are being offered by the Company.
Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., a subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT:LTS), is the book running manager for the offering.
