How Google plans to get you to start emailing money

A Google product that enables people to send money via gmail was launched last May to a small number of users, and now the company appears to be preparing to expand the service to a much wider audience, according to a report in quartz.com.

The search-giant's long-term goal, says author Christopher Mims, is likely to become a bigger player in e-payments, competing against players like Square, Venmo and PayPal.
