SpareFoot ranked the top 15 metro areas by the percentage of the total population enrolled in college and living in campus housing. SpareFoot analyzed U.S. Census Bureau data for the 100 most populated metro areas and focused on undergraduate students. In a few cases, a top-ranked area had one or two super-sized universities, but in most cases, an area had several moderately sized schools.
