Drivers of the Tesla Model S, which includes a 17-inch in-dash browser that works while driving, use the device to read a lot of news, TechCrunch reported Wednesday.

According to ad measurement firm Quantcast, news sites made up 54 percent of the car's browser activity during the 30-day period of the study.

Among the most visited sites was, which accounted for 10 percent of the overall page views.

The report found finance news was particularly popular, these sites accounted for more than 13 percent of page views.
