After-hours buzz: Alcoa, WD 40, Relypsa & More

Alcoa - The aluminum producer reported first-quarter earnings per share of 9 cents, excluding items, on $5.45 billion in revenue. Analysts expected EPS of 5 cents on $5.55 billion in sales. Shares rose in after-hours trading.

WD 40 - The supplier of WD-40 and other maintenance products reported second-quarter earnings per share of 67 cents on $94.2 million in revenue. Analysts expected EPS of 68 cents on $92 million in sales. Shares slid in after-hours trading.

Relypsa - The biopharmaceutical company said in a statement released after the close on Tuesday that it had begun an underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock to raise $80 million. Its shares fell in after-hours trading.

Constant Contact - The provider of online marketing tools offered first-quarter guidance above estimates. Its shares rallied in after-hours trading.

Coldwater Creek - Bloomberg cited two sources in reporting the women's apparel retailer has plans to liquidate in the wake of a pending bankruptcy filing. Its shares rose in after-hours trading.

Intuitive Surgical - The maker of da Vinci surgical systems offered first-quarter guidance below Wall Street's expectations. Its shares fell sharply in after-hours trading.
