COSTA MESA, Calif., April 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The management at Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems (http://www.morgandrexen.com) showed their support of National Volunteer Week, by taking time today to thank their employees for the generous donation of time volunteering in the community. An email sent personally by the company CEO to more than 200 employees thanked those who have volunteered in charitable causes the company is proud to support as well as those that matter to them on a personal level.
"We have such a wonderful team of people in our company who continue to volunteer their time and effort to help others," said CEO, Walter Ledda. "So today, in the spirit of National Volunteer Week, I wanted to take a moment and say 'thank you' to all of our employees who volunteer to help other people and charitable organizations."
Each year for more than a half a decade, Morgan Drexen employees have volunteered their time to help those who need support. "The amount of Volunteering from our employees is amazing," said Dina Iglesias, the company's Director of Human Relations. "Our employees volunteer to give blood three times a year, volunteer to collect food for those in need each year, volunteer to collect presents at Christmas to donate, and even volunteer to serve chili with the Orange County Rescue Mission's 'Chili Van' several times each year."
Morgan Drexen's employee efforts have not gone un-noticed as the company has recently shared in the American Red Cross's 'Platinum Award', for donating blood and have had their efforts acknowledged both on-line and in the press.
"When it comes to helping others, it isn't just about giving money, lot's of people can give money, the real thanks go to those who give something more valuable," add Ledda. "The thanks go to those who give their time, those who volunteer."
