When a five person start-up was acquired by Google recently, everyone was hired except for the only female employee, or so she claimed in a post on the anonymous social messaging app Secret.
The woman, who worked at the start-up as a designer since its beginning five years ago, reached out to reporter and author Kevin Roose to tell him more about her situation for a New York Magazine article.
Roose said Google declined to comment. Google also declined CNBC's request for comment.
