Wake up, jetlaggers, it's time to reprogram your circadian rhythm.

A new free iOS app called Entrain uses a mathematical model to help travelers or late-shift workers cut down the time it takes to adjust to a new sleep cycle, Quartz reports.

A trip to Tokyo from New York, for example, can cause a 12-day jet lag but the app can help flyers reduce the effects to as little as three to five days. "It's up to you whether you want to focus those 3-5 days before or after you travel," Daniel Forger, a biomathematician and the project's lead researcher, told Quartz. "If you have an important meeting, or if you are a musician or athlete, you probably want to adjust beforehand."
