Data on Wednesday showed China's economy slowed in the first three months of this year from the final quarter of 2013.
The economy grew an annual 7.4 percent in the first quarter, just above analyst expectations in a Reuters' poll for a 7.3 percent increase, but well below the previous quarter's 7.7 percent increase.
In fact, recent signs of weakness in the world's second largest economy have renewed focus on the outlook for China.
