Forecast International Names Stuart Slade Director of Consulting Operations

NEWTOWN, Conn., April 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Forecast International today announced the promotion of Stuart Slade to the position of Director of Consulting Operations. In addition to his new responsibilities, Mr. Slade, a world-ranked authority on naval technology, will retain authorship of Forecast International's Warships Forecast service. Mr. Slade was previously appointed as a member of the Forecast International Board of Directors.

Mr. Slade joined Forecast International in September 1994 as the company's warships analyst. He has an extensive background in the study and analysis of industrial projects, initially in the chemical engineering and maritime transport industries, and subsequently in a wide variety of military sectors.

Mr. Slade is a noted historian and editor of United States Strategic Bombers 1945-2012, Littoral Warfare: Ships and Systems, Navies in the Nuclear Age, and Multinational and Naval Operations. In addition, he has been a regular contributor on the subjects of warships technology, military electronics, and naval systems to a number of leading journals, including Naval Forces, NAVINT, Armed Forces, International Defense Review, International Security Defense Review, and East-West Digest.

Stuart Slade is also an author of 11 novels. His latest book, Alexander's Generals, provides a fascinating glimpse into a little known chapter of history.
