Companies looking to beef up their cybersecurity defenses should now have a better idea of where to recruit.
Over the weekend Raytheon hosted its National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC) in San Antonio, Texas, where the top 10 universities and college teams in cyber defense competed to keep a fake business operating while it was under constant cyber attack.
Out of 180 colleges and universities and 2,000 students, only 10 teams were selected to compete in the final competition. Each eight-person team protected a network of an online game-hosting company while maintaining services and meeting user demands.
At the end of the three-day competition, the team that was most successful in defending itself against cyber threats while keeping its business running was University of Central Florida. Rochester Institute of Technology took second place and the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, placed third.
Here are all 10 teams who competed in the championship.
