Beyond Guinness: More New York Irish pubs change with times

It's last call for more of New York's Irish pubs as rising rents and changing tastes shutter some bars.

Beyond rising rent, more customers prefer craft beers and healthy food choices, forcing more pubs to become a wee bit less Irish to stay afloat, Crain's reports. Guinness, Jameson and shepherd's pie just don't cut it anymore to compete in New York City's crowded food scene.
