The Teamsters union is helping Uber drivers organize an App-Based Drivers' Association in Seattle, Venture Beat reported.

"If an Uber driver wants to make a change they can talk to us directly—they don't need a bogus organization like this to do that," an Uber spokesperson told Venture Beat.

Uber drivers, who use their own vehicles and pick up passengers who request a lift through the rideshare app, complain the service does not provide them with liability insurance and that the driver rating system can be unfair, according to Venture Beat.
