Mattress Firm - The mattress maker posted earnings of 31 cents a share, excluding one-time items, on sales of $334 million, missing expectations for 36 cents a share on revenue of $337 million. But the company raised its full-year sales guidance. Shares edged higher in extended-hours trading.
Tibco - The computer software company posted preliminary second-quarter earnings of between 12 cents a share and 13 cents a share, excluding one-time items, on sales of $250 million to $252 million, missing estimates for 21 cents a share on revenue of $267 million. Shares tumbled sharply after being temporarily halted in extended-hours trading. Rival software companies such as SAP and Progress Software traded lower.
