NEW YORK, June 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSJ. Magazine, The Wall Street Journal's glossy luxury lifestyle publication, today announced the launch of WSJ. Magazine Brasil and WSJ. Magazine América Latina. The two new editions, which will be printed in Portuguese and Spanish, respectively, will be published four times a year: October 2014, December 2014, April 2015 and July/August 2015.
As part of this international expansion, these editions will reach over 95,000 affluent readers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Panama. Available on Fridays, the editions will be hosted in eight of the most influential local newspapers, including El Mercurio, El Norte, El Tiempo, La Nación, La Prensa, Mural, Reforma and Valor Econômico. The content will also be available on WSJAmericas.com, WSJ.com/Brasil and WSJ.com.
This is the first time in WSJ. Magazine's history that local language editions will be available and distributed in newspapers other than The Wall Street Journal.
Led by WSJ. Magazine's Editor-in-Chief Kristina O'Neill, both editions will contain select content that will be translated by The Wall Street Journal Americas team.
"As a global brand, we cover topics for a broad international readership—from high-end fashion and travel to innovative architecture and design. Latin America is booming, both economically and culturally, and has long been a source of compelling stories for us. We welcome the opportunity to continue to grow our audience there," O'Neill says of the launch.
In addition to its presence in Latin America, WSJ. Magazine is distributed within the U.S., European and Asian editions of The Wall Street Journal.
"With our expansion into Latin America, we gain access to a thriving luxury market. This exciting venture opens up a new universe of opportunities for our advertisers and solidifies the brand's position as an ever-growing global platform," says Anthony Cenname, Publisher of WSJ. Magazine.
