Former President George H.W. Bush celebrated his 90th birthday Thursday in high-flying style.
The ex-commander-in-chief and 41st president of the United States skydived in a tandem jump with a retired member of the U.S. Army's Golden Knights parachuting team. Members of the former first family, including 43rd president George W. Bush, watched George H.W. Bush make a bumpy landing near Kennebunkport, Maine.
The elder Bush has been using a wheelchair to get around for the last year. He has vascular Parkinsonism, which causes symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease. Yet, the former president still made good on a vow he made a few years ago to go skydiving on his 90th birthday. It's the same way he celebrated his 75th, 80th and 85th birthdays.
