MINNEAPOLIS, June 23, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vital Images, Inc. ("Vital"), a Toshiba Medical Systems Group Company, is pleased to announce the global release of VitreaExtend™, an advanced visualization solution that supports up to three simultaneous users with high performance similar to Vital's advanced server-based solution. VitreaExtend meets the needs of organizations that want increased access to advanced visualization tools without a significant IT footprint.
VitreaExtend features the same easy-to-use toolset as Vital's flagship Vitrea software. It is designed for facilities that need access from multiple locations to powerful advanced visualization tools. With access for multiple users, it helps free up scanner consoles, increasing efficiency and productivity. Dynamic licensing capabilities allow one walk-up and two remote users, or three remote users, depending on the individual needs of the facility.
"VitreaExtend responds to the needs of our customers who want a powerful advanced visualization solution that is simple to deploy and maintain," said Jim Litterer, General Manager at Vital Images, Inc. "In addition, the performance of VitreaExtend is consistent with our enterprise solution, VitreaAdvanced®, providing users with easy access to powerful clinical tools with minimal hardware footprint."
VitreaExtend will be offered exclusively by Toshiba America Medical Systems (TAMS) for modality-attached purchases through their medical diagnostic imaging channel within the U.S., and by Vital and its distribution partners globally.
