Deborah Mast Joins Hampton Roads Bankshares as Senior Vice President, Senior Business Development Officer

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., July 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc. (Nasdaq:HMPR) (the "Company"), the holding company for The Bank of Hampton Roads ("BHR") and Shore Bank, today announced that Deborah B. Mast joined the Company as Senior Vice President, Senior Business Development Officer, effective today. Based in Chesapeake, Virginia, Mast will be responsible for providing leadership in business development outreach and related initiatives, advising on cash management and customized deposit solutions, and working closely with Financial Center Managers and Commercial Relationship Managers to expand existing client relationships.

Mast received a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Christopher Newport University in Newport News.
