Huntsman - The chemical maker gained after reporting quarterly profit more than doubled.

LinkedIn - The social-media company and others including Facebook and Yelp gained on the heels of Twitter's strong earnings report.

Michael Kors Holdings - The apparel company slid after Robert W. Baird downgraded the stock to neutral from outperform.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals - The drug developer spiked on positive news for its experimental cholesterol drug being developed with French company Sanofi.

The Rubicon Project - The advertising-automation company surged after posting better-than-estimated quarterly results.

SodaStream International - The Israeli manufacturer of home-soda machines rose after reporting better-than-expected second-quarter results.

Thomson Reuters - The provider of news and information rose after tallying a better-than-expected quarterly profit.

Valero Energy - The refiner edged higher after reporting an increase in quarterly profit.

Zeltiq Aesthetics - The medical-device maker gained after projecting fiscal-2014 revenue above consensus views.
