Nonfarm payrolls disappoint amid global selloff

U.S. stocks recouped some of their losses after U.S. jobs data missed expectations, the latest in a string of risk events that have weighed on global markets.

Thursday saw Dow and the S&P 500 posting their first monthly drop since January, as a combination of Russia tensions, Argentina default and weak U.S. labor data spooked investors. Asian and European equities also fell on Friday.
