Scott Parker Named SVP & Regional Manager of Pacific Mercantile Bank's La Jolla Office

COSTA MESA, Calif., Aug. 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pacific Mercantile Bank ("the Bank"), the wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Mercantile Bancorp (Nasdaq:PMBC), today announced that Scott Parker has been named Senior Vice President & Regional Manager of the Bank's La Jolla office. Mr. Parker will lead the Bank's commercial banking team in San Diego County.

Mr. Parker has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial banking industry. Prior to joining Pacific Mercantile Bank, Mr. Parker was the President & CEO of Vibra Bank in Chula Vista, CA from 2007-2014. Mr. Parker oversaw the establishment and development of the bank from its formation to its growth to $150 million in assets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Parker also held senior management positions with Community National Bank in Escondido and Rancho Bernardo Community Bank in San Diego.

Mr. Parker has an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University, is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington, and has a Series 65 investment license.
